Find and book venue/Choose Wedding Date- Start with the venue because there is no guarantee that your venue will have the exact date you want available. You might get the same month but just a different day.
Set Wedding Budget- Get a rough idea of the budget you are trying to stick with. According to recent studies about 50% of your budget should be your venue.
Begin Making Your Guest List- Start with your immediate family and friends. From there you'll be able to make cuts according to how many people your venue can hold.
Book Your Photographer- Once you find a photographer you like, book them. Most photographers will book a year in advance.
Savings Tip: If you want videography but don't want to pay for a videographer, then you can use Animoto.com! All you have to do is collect all videos and pictures taken by your guests and use Animoto to put it all together. You can have anyone put it together for you!

Book Your DJ/Band- Savings Tip: DJ's can be great but sometimes they can be a little on the expensive side. You can save by creating your own playlist and use your venue's speaker system! Ask your venue if they have one and see if there are any hidden costs for using it.

Book Hair & Make-Up- Savings Tip: For all vendors that you do use, it is wise to get price quotes from 3 similar vendors.
